Hey Everyone...
The post that's due on Sunday is in a separate post below this one called "Compassion."
At the parent's meeting this past Sunday we talked about bringing stuff that we can donate to places in Boston as part of our ministry trip. Here's the list that we had on the presentation...if you can bring some items, maybe make a comment below so we can see what is being covered & try and get as much as we can.
Cradles to Crayons:
-New school supplies
-Kids' clothing sizes 11/12-14/16
-New socks & underwear (all sizes)
-Newborn clothing size 0-6 months
-Spring Jackets (sizes 0-16)
-Boppy pillows
-Diaper bags & new bottles
-Baby carriers/slings
-Birthday gifts for kids ages 1-12
Jubilee House:
"We are doing a park out reach for kids ... so any small toys and items we can give away as prizes as well as craft items we can do projects with.
The other outreach we are doing is called "Soul Spa"... Girls for Change is is an evening program geared to JR HIGH girls to keep them off the streets. It is a 6 week program on Monday night with a Bible study on Tuesdays. So any girly type give aways for about 24 girls would be great!!"

I might be able to bring clothes! We are in the process of cleaning out the closets at my house. Ill see wat i can do!
My mom and I have two craft ideas! They are also light weight!So i think we are getting the stuff for those crafts!

I planing on bring some random girly items for the Soul Spa. And I think I'll get play makeup and Nerf Footballs for the birthdays.
k i have a ? umm like do the cloths have to be new and do the toys have to be new cuz i'm in the very long proses of cleaning my room and i have many cloths i dont wear and lots of toys and books i grew out of or already read five times...???? cuz i can bring dat..
ashton...the toys & clothes don't have to be brand new, but they should look newish. think about it this way...if you wouldn't want to receive it in the condition it's in, you probably wouldn't want to give it to someone.
i got like a piggy blanket thing little Frisbees, educational cards, magnetic numbers, girl toy watch, erasers, big jacks, index cards, squeeze cars, two sets of baby clothes one for boy one for girl, slinky, sidewalk chalk, regular pencils and colored pencils, two yo-yos, army men, one more set of jacks pencil sharpeners and two sets of cards and three bouncy balls.

ok, i got some more stuff. i got a TON of school supplies:
6 Packs of Colored Pencils
8 Packs of 24 colored crayons
8 Packs of 2 glue sticks
I guess its not that much, but it looks like a lot. if anyone else wants to get something but doesn't want to spend a lot of money, I got that stuff all at walmart and it only cost $8.80 so thats pretty good.
also, i got some cute journals and gel pens for the Soul Spa thing. and i got some cute little toyish things for the park outreach, like those squishy/strechy frogs and lizards and i got 6 mini Frisbees.
