i continue to thoroughly dig what all of you are throwing up here...looking forward to reading your responses for this one...
George Muller "realized the mission field God had in mind for him was right in front of him. God wanted him to minister to everyone he met." What are needs that you see around you? What are ways that you could serve others now?
I think it's pretty cool that the vision that George Muller had of taking care of children didn't "die with him", as Zach puts it. What's a dream or idea that you have that you want others to catch on to and run with?

I don't see needs of people that live right around me in Richfield, but I know that in Cleveland and Akron there are inner-city people that don't have a lot like I do. I could do volunteer work at a place like the City Mission or Salvation Army. My mother heard that children that go to foster homes use garbage bags for suitcases so my brothers and I sent a letter last Christmas telling our friends about it and we collected 42 new suitcases and took them to the Akron Children's Social workers.
I don't have any special dream or idea right now but I'll think about it and maybe talk to my parents and we could do another Christmas project this year.
A need that I see around me all the time is people who just really need a friend. Maybe they have 'friends' that really don't act like friends at all, or maybe they don't have friends to begin with. A way that i could serve others now is reaching out to people who don't have many true friends and giving them a shoulder to cry on or an ear to talk off. An idea that i want people to 'catch on to an run with' is probably kindness. it sounds so simple, but its not. We all know how hard it can be to be kind to some people, but if we could all grasp the idea that kindness might just save someones life [sounds ridiculous but its true! think about it for a minute.] or even just brighten their day, we could all really help some people out.
@ Taylor...awesome idea with the suitcases...that's very cool!
@ Shawna...how do you think that you could help people to pursue kindness? i wonder if some sort of reminder or slogan or something would help people to think about it. or maybe just as they experience it from others...i wonder...
Hola!
When i look around ne i dont see a lot like Taylor. I live in the suburb so i dont see much need. But, my dad owns a carwash in Perry. When i go to work with my dad i see tons of things i havent seen before. You can drive three blocks down the street and see at least 2 or 3 people with there possesions on there back.
But that is not the need i see. My dad has an employee. She has 2 kids. But she lives in a trailer and cannot afford a lot of new items. But what makes her life even harder is the fact that her son has heart trouble. He has had a lot of medical treatment.
I beleive that i can help by donating my old toys and clothes to this family. I can also help the first situation by maybe finding someway to volunter in a shelter with my family.
Peace out home skillets!
People need help everywhere even if it doesn't seem like it. Even if they only need a friend. Some things i can do to help are be a friend to someone, help out at a food kitchen, or other things.
My family and i do things to help other people. but when we do things they don't always have to be big things! Last year we helped out at freedom fest and we are going to do that again. But we also do alot of other things.

Hi!
Ok, so a need of many that I see around my community is a good listener. Many people are dealing with a lot of pain around me... like losing loved ones, or being diagnosed with cancer. I think listening to someone talk to you just about the simple things is what a lot of people would need around me. I could plan a visit with anyone I know in the hospital or knock on a neighbor's door and just listen to what they have to say, instead of talking all about me.
A dream that I have is to make a difference through God's name. Sometime's I can dream a little bit too big... but this is a dream that I really wish to fufill.
-Special K
The main need i see around me is Christ. No question about that. Others come second, not that they're not important, but Christ is eternal, nothing else on this earth is.
We can serve others by giving them food, shelter, clothes, Christ, etc etc. We can also serve them by just being a good friend, and being there for support.
That other's can catch onto and run with? Not very many, and those that I do have are very small.
L8r my home slices!! =D

I agree with what shawna said in her post. Some people just need a friend. Not everyone has the same needs. In everything we do we should always try to help those people in need because if we had a need we would want someone to help us too. We should remember compassion on the boston trip and try to be there when someone has a need. I know somewhere in the New Testament it says to do unto others as you would have them do unto you. We should be kind and patient and help people if we can just like we would want someone else to be to us.
But we should not be commpassionate to someone just because we think we are going to get something in return but we should do it willingly because God said to do it.
Daniel A.
A need that I see in the world is poverty. There are people out there who struggle just to get food on the table so they can feed their families! I’m blessed because I have a nice home and I have two working parents who support my family.
My mom works in a furniture ministry, where we give furniture to families who can't afford it. I love to see their smiles, when they get what they need. One day when I went there, this woman was really poor and had no furniture. We gave her all kinds of furniture and she started to cry. While she was crying she thanked God and us!
A special dream I would like to see is that when someone is down, that there will be someone right there helping them up to their feet!
Well cheerio for now!
-Abby :p
A need around here is that there is a soccer league and they need people to referee the games. This is a need because they have so many games going on at a time they need people to keep oreder in the games so people aren't cheating. the coaches could do that but they don't want to have to focus on coaching and reffing at the same time. I help out with this need because I like reffing both for the pay and to help out with littler kids.
What are needs that you see around you? What are ways that you could serve others now?
A need that I see around me is at our library. They have been looking for volunteers for quite some time now. I could help serve others by helping out at the library. It is one of the few places in Green that need help.
What's a dream or idea that you have that you want others to catch on to and run with?
My uncle Bob runs a Relay for Life program in Florida. It is his dream to end cancer, so it is mine too. I want everyone to participate in at least one Relay for Life so that scientists can get to the bottom of this terrible illness. This is something worth catching on to and running with!
One of the needs that I see around me is love and attention. I see people just sitting around and saying hi when you walk by cuz they don't have anyone to talk with. It's really sad and I don't know what it feels like to be this way cuz I always have friends I can call when I'm feeling lonely and I know they love me. I know this kid that goes to my school whose mom recently died. I can't imagine how much pain he must have felt over that loss. If my mom died I would be devastated. But anyway, at school he started acting up in class and getting into fights and I kinda think he just wanted attention. So some people want attention so bad that they will go to great measures, even bad ones, to get it. We should really try to just smile and say hi more to people cuz it probably means so much more to them than we could ever know.
I really like the idea of compassion and want to help others with it. One way that I could lead other people to show compassion to others is to do it. If I show compassion or act "wombishly" towards others than it might push other people to do the same. I know I can't do this by myself though so I'm gonna pray about it. Another way I could help the needy is to not buy as much stuff that I don't really need. Then I will have more money to donate to needy foundations and such. Also, I can go thru my old clothes and give the ones I don't need to good will. This can help others out a lot.
-Lauren Herr
Well a dream that I think of the most is that everybody has water supply, shelter, clothing, and for no body's arguing any more. So what we can is trying to work and help, for all their dreams come true for heath reason. But the main question is if somebody dies will it still be the same as before nobody will know but my main dream is for everybody to have a friend. So let’s have compassion for what we are set to do for God in Boston.
First off i want to say that i think George Muller was such an
amazing person and that he should
be a huge inspiration to all of us.
He didnt let the people he loved
hold him back from persuing his dream of becoming a missionary.
I dont think I can narrow it down
to one dream, but I think one of my
dreams is that maybe someday everyone would be able to have a
warm place to sleep and and that
everyone would have enough food
to feed their families no matter
how much money they have. Also that
all the Christians in the world would all share the good news of
Christ and show God's love to all
the needy and the poor.Remember
that through God all things are
possible!
David Lebo
I also agree with shawna about one of the biggest needs around me being people that really need friends. There are a lot of people in my school, neighborhood, and even on my sports teams that are desperate just to find a place where they are accepted. Some of these people will do anything and others will do nothing and wait for someone to approach them beacuse they are afraid. So my special dream would be that we could all be one of those people who approaches and tries to become friends with those who don't have many. I think that doing this could help everyone in some way because both people might gain a really good friend.
cassie t.
There are things everywhere around us that we can help with hunger, homelessness, people who have had a loved one die and need support, people who just need a friend and many others. help them be a friend for them be there when they need you.
I'm not sure i have any special dreams that i would like to happen right now (maybe a dodgeball group bring people in make teams and have a lesson in between games and stuff) but that's about it as for as my dreams
Gary O.
Many people have many needs around me. Whenever I see someone whos homeless or begging for money on the street, i realize how lucky I am. Also, like Shawna, I see people who just need a friend. When the "new person" comes along, not many people want to go up to them and talk to them. However, that is what they need. They need a friend or someone to talk to to make them feel more comfortable in their new place.
I think i could serve others now by being a good friend. One that listens and actually cares about what the person is saying. Also, i could donate some of my old clothes or stuff to people that need it.
I wish that someday, everyone would have a warm place to sleep and 3 meals everyday. Also, i wish everyone would have the chance to hear the gospel.
-haileee :)
The people who live around me, and in my life, don't really need physical possessions as much as they need Jesus. I don't really know that many people in my neighborhood, or community that well, so making a relationship would be a great thing to do, as a starter. Then I could introduce them to Jesus. I will try to do this as hard as i can, even though i know I'm not perfect and i will probably forget, or back off and not do this.
What i would really like to do is start a missions field in a city/town/country in Africa, to help with all of the disease and problems, with water and everything. (pretty much the same thing as fresh passion) when i grow older. I wish i could do it now, but i need more experience with missions stuff, and I need a certain degree in medicine, and if it could become an on going thing that continues through generations, that would be awesome!
I think that people around me although they arent homeless or drug addicts have a lot of needs. like i know one of my neighbors is an old lady that sits around all day doing nothing soo f i wouldjust go and tak to her that would b enough other people just straight need help sometimes like either doing manual work or doing stuff like talking to them or even just listening to them
A dream i have s that we can b remembered as people who changed thinking forever. change the way they think in India. change the way they think in Iraq and change the way people think in Akron, Ohio
Sam S.
The need I see the most is the need of a friend. I say this because the shooting at Virginia Tech happened because nobody said hi to the guy. I could serve people by just being their friends.
i think a big need in america is how we treat the homeless..we are basically the richest country in the world and we have ppl on the streets begging for food. this really makes me almost sick to my stomache. i look at all the famous ppl and how much money they have, insane amounts of money, and we have ppl starving, that is so wrong. ppl that have 2 or 3 houses somewhere in the country. ugh. there are ppl who dont even have a bed not alone a house! are u kidding me.. seriously..it really shows how selfish ppl are.. i dont really remember exactly where in the bible where this story is but i remember a poor old woman gave her last penny to the church.. her last penny! and then the pharises gave hundreds and thousannds of dollars (or whatever type of money they had back then lol)
and jesus appreciated the womans penny more than all the pharises money. because that was all she had.. but yet she still wanted someone else to have it. not to herself. this woman had nothing but still kept on giving. im not really sure how this plugs into rich ppl and poor ppl in america.. but everytime i think about starving ppl in this country and insanly rich ppl that story comes to my mind.. to think that someone who has nothing.. is willing to give up everything for god. i think if we work hard we can change this. when we go to boston and work at the shelters or places where we feed the homeless.. the fact that were there taking the time to help ppl.. and feed them..i think will really show what kind of ppl and christians we are and hopefully the ppl we help will realize that its not us, its god. and i pray that they realize that and understand that while were down there, that would like make my year!
I'm pretty lucky that I live in an area where I can't really see many needs around me, but I'm sure they are there. I agree with everyone els eon here that a really big need is friendship though. There are alot of people I can think of that would probably be much happier if just one person befriended them.
There are alot of ways I could serve other people right now. I could cook someone whos in a bad situation dinner, I could join a construction project, I could mow the lawn for some of my neighbors, etc. The oppurtunities are endless.
hay its me ashton baby!!!
well let me see the needs i see people need are many... i mean like i see many kids my age need the love and support of the parnets also they need friends and someone to be by there side and stear them in the rite direction. i also see people who need to kno wat there doing is wrong and help them figure out a way to fix what they did wrong.....
a way i could help is i could be friends to thoes who need a good friend to lead them down the rite path.. i could help a kid talk to there parents and to have peace between the child and the parent... also i could just help and share the word of god with that person who needs it and help him/her with whatever that person may need at the time...
an idea and or dream that i would love to follow me is really nothing i dont want to be famous or anything but my dream is why i'm allive to help others with whatever i can do..i love help people with there problems and i love seeing the joy in there eyes when they kno they are loved or there is a way out of this mess they got themeslves into... so if im rememberd or not i dont care but i just want to help people why i have the chance to...
HAY A TIP FOR BOSTON!!!!!
for the girls i think only one-three people should bring a straighner and we can just shair cuz like i need to stratin my hair or it wont go into a ponytail... just an idea.. so talk wit some frans and c who should bring one and who shouldn't
ASHTON MARIE WEBER!!! HAY BAY BAY!!!
I don't really see any needs where i live , but there are probably many needs in Akron. One way 2 help is to volunteer at the Salvation Army.

I totally agree with Shawna one thing I see a lot is people who don’t have friends or at least not good ones. And I guess one way I could serve them is like take the random outgoingness I had this last week and use that to make friends who actually need them. Then be a good friend not just someone the talk to but hang out with and who really cares.
Some other needs I see I don’t see as often but I’ve remembered in the past seeing people down on Arlington Road by Walmart having cardboard signs saying “willing to work for food” or “Need food Family” and other variations of that. Maybe since I probably can’t give them job I could just go into Walmart and buy them maybe few days to weeks worth of food that doesn’t spoil and isn’t like super sugary. To help until they do find job or get some other help.
I really feel we’re in spoiled area we don’t see a lot of the need that people around us have; either because it’s not there or the hide it because they don’t feel it’s important when it really is. Green and other nice cities and towns you don’t see a lot of the need we label as major like needing food (Don’t get me wrong needing food is important, but your spirit can die without friendship and/in Christ.) …. I just totally lost what I was going on but here we really have to look for need more than you do in Chicago, Boston, D.C., and other major cities.
This isn’t really my dream but its idea I like and want to work on for myself. It’s the idea of not caring what other people think and still doing stuff anyway. George did it his farther didn’t like that fact he wanted to serve and neither did that first girlfriend. But he new what they thought didn’t matter it was about him and God that what mattered. I’ve always struggled with caring way too much about what people and my friends think about me. Couple weeks ago I made my first big breakthrough on getting over this. I bought shirt. Lol I know that doesn’t sound like a lot but my friends I was shopping with we’re against it they didn’t want me to get it. There was nothing wrong with the shirt it had Jigglypuff =P on it. That’s why they didn’t want me to get it and even before I bought it I’m like, “So if I got this shirt and wore it to school would I be correct in assuming you would ignore me?” They’re like yeah. And I bought the shirt anyway. That’s nothing big but I know for me it’s sign that I’ve grown, 6 months ago I would have never bought the shirt because they didn’t like it, even if I did. So what I’m getting to with that stupid little story is do what you want… well what God wants you to do not what your friends think you should do. [What your friends’ think you should do isn’t always going to be bad, a lot of time it’s so you don’t get hurt. So this idea is really controversial you have figure whether what there saying is what God wants and if they’re being a true friends when there telling you something, wanting you to do it for your own good.]
I think a really big need in America today is children not getting love or not enouhg love. I have seen so many kids hurt on the inside and out from abusive parents/guardians. It's sad to see little kids being forced to grow up to fast because they have to take care of their siblings or find food to eat and stay alive everyday.
Some ways that I could help are obviously praying for the kids in America, organizing food drives and donating the food to foster homes/any place that helps kids, or sponser a child at my church and monthly give money so the kid can eat and get clothes.
Ummmmmmmmmmm I honestly dont really have any big dreams. I really would love to get kids/teens off the streets and sahre the Gods word where ever I go and not to be ashamed of it.
Ashton I totally agree with ya sister but i think someone should bring a hairdryer two cuz my hair will look like a big bush without it hahahahahaha
lauren i'll make u happy hahah
-lil brummy-
after reading mostly all of the blogs so far i think i can say that i agree with every single one. like many have said they don't see needs in their neighborhood and i agree about mine too, but you don't always get a chance to see everyone in your neighborhood so you don't know if someone really is suffering. but for the most part i think that there aren't that many people suffering greatly in my neighborhod of stow.
one need that i have helped with in akron for the past few years is helping refugees and other poor people who have come from other countries learn english. now a days there are all kinds of people coming to the u.s. needing someone to help them and teach them.
after reading this chapter i can now understand so much more why we are going on this missions trip. we can fill the needs of so many deserving people and honor God which is the exact reason why i am going on this missions trip.
as for a dream i wish that americans would do more to help others. i wish that people wouldn't be so selfish and realize that being selfish and greedy doesn't get you anywhere in life. i wish that everyone would just stop what they are doing and help someone or something for a period of time. i think that it would make a huge difference in this world and make it a better place.

I don't really see needs of people around here in hartville, but last year my seventh grade class took a trip to washington D.C and I coul have counted fifty homeless people sleeping on the sidewalks and realized that those are people who probably had love ones die and got laid off from a job working for a huge company, and I think that those people just need someone to talk to and if you talk to them and make there day then they will realize how good it is to be a christian and become one someday.
I dont really have any special dream but ok cya
M.Swires------
A need around me right now is my friends soul. He needs just a lot of love. Ya see his dad died in Iraq a few years ago. it impacted me,he was like my second father. He has just fell in with the wrong crowd right now. Lost touch. He loves God i kno that, just he wants no truth outta verses or sermons. He just needs a lotta love and im serving by stickin with with him.
An idea i want peeps to follow is that hope never dies. No matter wat crappy stuff happens to people there will always be something to save them because God would never leave us to just drown in uncertainty or sorrow.I want people to kno that God will always throw us a line in the seas of evil. He will NEVER forsake us he will always love us.
Sincerely, M.Swires
@ Mason...sounds like you're being a good friend...stick with it! and i think that's a catchy phrase..."hope never dies"
@ Noel...i think you're right that we even though we live next to people we don't always see what is going on in their lives, so sometimes it's hard to figure out how we can help them. I think part of the answer is we have to continually seek out opportunities to get to know people better.
@ Elise...good thoughts. it's always easy, though, to think about other people & how they should be giving more...our challenge is to see just how rich & blessed we are and choose to share that with people...giving all we have to God through serving others with it. we all choose whether we're more like the poor woman who gave her all or the rich man who just gave a little...we each have to ask which we think we're closer to & what we could do to improve.
HEY IYS JONNNY BRAVO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
A need that i see around my life is a need for love. i live in a poor inner city ghetto of akrowdy. many dont have a father, or they are neglected by thier moms ir dads. With this said many kids come to my dads house(the ministry)and search for love, in which my parents and the voulnteeers try to give. but nothing compares to a mother or fathers love.
I could help more in like a minsty such as haven of rest.
I could even help kids in my own neghbor hood who whish for more love.
jon c
A need i see around where i live is just help with things which need done. all my neighbors are older people and so they cant easily always do what needs done. whether its mowing their lawn, raking leaves, shoveling their driveway, or picking weeds in their gardens… and the list goes on. Another need I see is, like just about everyone has said, is someone in need of a friend or just someone to talk to.
I can serve my neighbors by just always being willing to help them out whenever they need help. I can also take hold of every opportunity I get to talk and listen to someone, or just be a friend to them.
something simple that i think all of us could do would be just to look around your neighborhood or wherever you live, and to just do simple things, daily or weekly, for the people you see who need help. Just do something simple for them that you know they will appreciate, and that they need done.
sorry this is a day late, I had a father's day party. (I know, excuses excuses.)
anyway, the best thing I can think of is that there are a lot of senior citizens around... well, everywhere! and they all have lawns, gardens, etc., and they all have to keep it up somehow. but they are older, so they have trouble. that's where people could help out. I could go to their house and mow their lawn, garden, etc. and help that way.
a special dream, eh? well... I don't really have one, but I think it would be awesome if someone would build a pipeline to Africa or India and we could pipe leftovers there.... or not.
I guess just possibly doing stuff for people would be my only idea, so I can't really answer.
where i live in east akron, i see a lot of homeless people roaming the streets near downtown and i think to myself how much i have and how little people have living on the streets. its kinda of weird but some people say they dont need help, but you can see just by their way of life they desperately need help. Probably the biggest thing i could do is give away clothes or give them food.
-Ben s.
i see needs around me in my own neighborhood. we live just outside of downtown Akron. We can change our neighborhood by doing neighborhood clean-ups to pick up trash and junk that people leave laying around the streets. it's not the most important thing, but when we teach the kids in our neighborhood to clean up they also learn to respect the neighborhood and other people that live in it. also other people are happy to see people doing something for the neighborhood instead of tearing it up.
we have done alot of block clean ups and one year we helped other neighbors make a garden in an old abandoned lot. It looked alot better when we were done.
i also see alot of homeless people and we can donate clothes or food to homeless shelters. also in our neighborhood we buy big boxes of snacks and share with some of the kids just to be kind and make friends with them.
elijah
i know it's possible that none of you will see my comments since i post last... but that's ok.
i really enjoyed reading everything you guys have written... it's funny, one of my biggest visions was mentioned right in the first post, by taylor.
something that is close to my heart is adoption/foster care. it requires a major sacrifice to be a parent at all, and maybe an even bigger sacrifice to adopt or take foster children... but Christ called us to take care of orphans. and i've worked with many teens who were either adopted or in foster care...
i dream that the church in this country will one day make a bigger effort to embrace adoption and foster care.
so sorry its late i went to camp this week and got crazy sidetrakked, but here it is:
some things that i see around me that i could help out with are just listening to people that need to be heard, or speaking to people that need to be spoken to, or donating some of my money to places like the salvation army, or other organizations like that.
an idea i think would be awesome if it caught on is some sort of organization that makes it easier for teens to get involved and make a difference. kinda vague, but i think its a good idea
-ericm/ezmac
There are many needs around us. First, there are always going to be people who are in poverty who need food and shelter. Also, when I was at school I saw people who needed a friend to hang around with. There could be people who are going through a tough time and just need someone to talk to. Some ways that i can help others around me now is by volunteering at a charity organization. Also, try to be a friend to someone who needs it. I don't have any dreams or ideas, i just want Christians to share their faith with as many people possible.

heyy its tonya :]
My dad works at this place caled hope cafe, and its a missions organization on south street. Whenever i go there isee so many people that need so much. Most need food, good clothes, a place to stay, or someting as simple as a freind.
Sometimes, on fridays, i go to hope cafe with my dad and help serve food to homeless people andpeople that need it. Sometimes, thre are kids there that are my age, and i always try andhelp them by trying to be thier freind and stuffs. But id like to start doing more to help people around me that need it. :]]
A need that I see around me is people who are searching to find themselfs. Most of the people at my school are always trying to have an image and always care so much about what other people think about them. The truth is that these people are just confused and are looking to others to find out who they really and are just to scared to be themselfs. If more people cared less about what others think about themselfs and more about who they want to be, then I think this world would be a much better place. I'm not really shure that I could persuade others into just being themselfs just b/c its such a great issue at many schools but I would reall love to see people just being themselfs. So I guess that would be a dream that I would want others to persue, to stop pretending to be someone your not and start being the person that you want to be.
I think that compassion can be as simple as hanging out with someone who needs a friend. We can also be with friends in our neighborhood who may not be christians and show them Christ.
Im not really sure of a dream or idea that I want to live on after I die. An obvious one would for the church to grow and bring even more people to Christ. Other than that I never want the true meaning of Christmas and Easter to be lost and Chritmas trees and Easter bunnies to become the main idea.
cameron H
asdfjkl;...that was fun to type
ok anyways...well in hartville you dont really see many homeless people or anything like that...we have a lot of amish people though...GO AMISH!!!i dont really see any needs but what i do think is that we need to evangelize more...if that is how you spell evangelize????maybe???...but definately the only thing i can think of is that we need to spread the word of God in this terrible world we call earth.
I dont see to many needs around me, but if you go to the streets of Cleveland you will see alot of poverty. It's sad to see people on the street where thats there home and they dont know when there nect meal will come. Even if you go to an Indians game there are people trying to get money by holding the door for you when you are leaving. Its not easy to give money to them because you dont know what there going to do with it, but if you bring them food or clothing you know thats something they need.
I dont have an idea right now but i hope to gain some after this trip.
~Brandon S.
Hey again sorry it's so late!
Some of the needs that I see around me are helping my neighbor find Christ. His sister gave birth to a baby a couple months ago with no father in the picture, now she is in the hospital with a problem with her pancreas in which she will have to stay in the hospital for several months. I have mentioned Christianity to him but never really talked to him. That is the only thing I can think of right now. The dream that I would want people to catch on to would just volunteering whenever there is work to be done I just got back from Freedom Fest at Akron and I ran inflatables all night, that would be the Dream.
Sam H.
People have many needs all around us, even if they arent life-or-death circumstances. I know there are many people that need assistance because of a disability or handicap, or in need of financial support... but sometimes the things we overlook are the most important, such as those in need of a friend, or someone to talk to.
I recently met a girl in my grade who was always kind of and "outcast" at school, and no one really payed attention to her. One day she was sitting alone and i decided to go sit by her. She continued to tell me about many issues that she was having at home, and the fact that i took the time to come talk to her meant all the difference.
Many people in the world think that they aren't equipped to serve.. and use it as an excuse, but really, all you need is a voice and something to talk about.
The girl i was just talking about was involved in smoking, drugs, was threatened by her parents, and about to run away. My friends and i reached out to her and were there for her when she needed it, and now, she is completely clean, and has a healthy relationship with her parents. She started the school year with no friends at all, and in the middle of a horrible home life. She ended that year with at least 7 friends and a happy home life.
My point is not to brag, but just to make a point that even the smallest guesture can make the biggest difference, and these are the things we often overlook.
I wish that our generation would dream to be more kind to those around us, because both smiles and frowns are contagious, and come on, which would you rather see on everyone's face?

i see some people on the streets holding signs saying like no food no money no joke but i just see them i dont do anything about it. i sometimes feel bad but rarley. it seems selfish but idk it is i guess but it is like they want the money to buy drugs so whats the point. to help the people in need in our community i couldwork with salvation army or in a soup kitchen.i dont have a dream right now but i am definalty thinking about one. i will talk to family members and see if we can work things out.
well in my town everyone is pretty wealthy in the area i love in.but in other parts of the city you can tell people are in poverty.
i could help by donating to the salvation army and good will i live close to.
an idea i have is everytime you see someone you give them a smile.
a pastor once told me that a smile may be the only preaching a person may ever get.and i believe this to be true.when i give people smiles i get many many reactions.smetimes they're surprised that someone would even give one to them.and others act like they've never seen one before.and yet some others just love it and smile back.either way i feel that people deep down truly did need that smile and needed that little positivity in their life.i love receiving smiles from people so im pretty sure they love it too.
